Phnom Penh, 20th December 2019- Sathapana Bank, in association with the National Blood Transfusion Center, organized on Friday, 20th December a blood donation drive at three different locations namely Sathapana Bank provincial branches in Siem Reap and Kampong Cham provinces, and at AEON Mall Sen Sok City.
With the yearly theme of “Donate Blood to Save Lives”, the campaign’s aim is to contribute to the health sector in Cambodia through the volunteerism spirit of Sathapana Bank staff and the public.
Now on its 12th year, this impactful event helps unfortunate people who urgently need blood to save their lives. In addition to contributing to the blood supply of the National Blood Transfusion Center for future needs.
Mr. Lim Aun, Chief Executive Officer of Sathapana Bank, said during the event that as part of the Sathapana Bank’s corporate social responsibility, the bank will continue to strongly support the health sector in Cambodia and work closely with the country’s National Blood Transfusion Centre to organize such a meaningful and beneficial event for the following years to come.
At the event, donors were screened before the blood donation to ensure that the blood was collected from healthy donors.
According to the National Blood Transfusion Center, the center averagely needs 200 units of blood every day to meet the urgent blood demand to save their lives. One unit of blood can save three lives.
