Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 20th December 2018 – With the theme “Donate Blood to Save Lives.” Sathapana Bank in cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion Center organize employee blood donation at four different places namely Head Office, Siem Reap, Kampong Cham, and Battambang provincial branches. The aim of this annual campaign is to contribute to the health sector in Cambodia through volunteerism of Sathapana Bank’s employees in blood giving.
According to the report from the National Blood Transfusion Center, the center averagely needs 200 units of blood everyday to meet the urgent blood demand to save people lives.
Sathapana Bank has been organizing this blood donation campaign annually, while this year is the bank’s 11th employee blood donation in a role with 196 volunteers donated their blood. This impactful event helps unfortunate people who urgently need blood to save their lives. In addition to contribution to the blood supply of the National Blood Transfusion Center for future needs.
As part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, Sathapana Bank will continue to strongly support the health sector in Cambodia and work closely with the country’s National Blood Transfusion Centre to organize such a meaningful and beneficial event for the following years to come.
